Great White was a debut winner Dec. 12, 2025, at Turfway Park, where he drew off to a 2 ¼-length victory for trainer John Ennis. The Volatile gelding made his stakes debut in the Leonatus Stakes Jan. 17 at Turfway, but a troubled start compromised his chances in a fifth-place finish.

Ennis next entered Great White in the John Battaglia Memorial Stakes Feb. 21 at Turfway and an improved start led to a much better trip as he stalked the pace from third under regular rider Alex Achard. Great White took the lead on the far turn, spurted clear in early stretch, and held off late-closing Fulleffort to win by a neck.
The Battaglia Memorial victory earned Great White 20 points toward qualifying for the 2026 Kentucky Derby.
He is the first starter produced by the Uncle Mo mare Kelly Bag and hails from. The family of 1999 Brazilian Horse of the Year Sweet Eternity.
