Hall of Famer Zenyatta turned 20 on April 1, 2024, and the folks at Lane’s End in Kentucky welcomed fans out to visit the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and 2010 Horse of the Year for a special birthday celebration.
“She’s such a symbol, not only for horse racing, but for sports in general,” said Angela Corsetti, who drove six hours from Michigan to see Zenyatta. “And the fact that she beat the boys was so awesome. She’s a rock star.”
