The $1.25 million Longines Kentucky Oaks May 6 at Churchill Downs promises to be an exciting race headlined by a pair of undefeated 3-year-old fillies in Gulfstream Park Oaks winner Kathleen O. and 2021 champion 2-year-old filly Echo Zulu.

The 1 1/8-mile test is the filly equivalent to the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve, the famed run for the roses for 3-year-olds held the following day and commonly referred to as the “most exciting two minutes in sports.” In recent years, however, the depth of quality fillies in the Kentucky Oaks has matched and at times even exceeded that of the Kentucky Derby, and this year’s cast of 3-year-old fillies again looks to be stellar.

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the 2022 Kentucky Oaks contenders with a nice profile image, workout image, and racing image when available for this year’s race.
