What better way to learn about the probable contenders for the 2020 Belmont Stakes than a visual introduction? The $1 million race at Belmont Park was postponed from June 6 to June 20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the first time in history will kick off the Triple Crown series.

The distance of the race also was reduced from the traditional 1 ½ miles to 1 1/8 miles because of the lack of a steady schedule for 3-year-olds leading into what is in 2020 the first jewel of the Triple Crown.

The Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve will follow 11 weeks later on Sept. 5 with the Triple Crown concluding with the Preakness Stakes on Oct. 3.
