For the eighth year in a row, America’s Best Racing is challenging some of the brightest minds in horse betting to come up with their top three picks for key races every weekend leading up to the 2024 Triple Crown and then continuing through the 2024 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The handicappers face off in what we like to call the “Big-Race Showdown.”
The upcoming weekend in horse racing is highlighted by the $1 million NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park, an important race in sorting out the 3-year-old division and also a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the Nov. 2 Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic.
After a three-week break, the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series resumes Saturday, July 20, with the prestigious $1 million NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes at Monmouth Park.
It’s summer in Southern California, and for horseplayers that means it’s time for Del Mar! The annual Del Mar summer Thoroughbred meet opens on Saturday, July 20, and will usher in California’s most eagerly anticipated season of horse racing.
The 2024 Del Mar summer meet will be conducted mostly on a four-days-a-week basis, Thursdays through Sundays plus Labor Day for eight weeks ending Sunday, Sept. 8.
