all in Breeders' Cup

Both Echo Zulu and Bolshoi Ballet turned in impressive performances that secured paid berths in the 2023 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on a Travers Stakes undercard that was marred by the loss of New York Thunder to a catastrophic breakdown in the Grade 1

For the seventh year in a row, America’s Best Racing is challenging some of the brightest minds in horse betting to come up with their top three picks for key races every weekend leading up to the 2023 Triple Crown and then continuing through the 2023 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The handicappers face off in what we like to call the “Big Race Showdown.”

The Grade 1, $750,000 Resorts World Casino Sword Dancer Stakes is a 1 ½-mile turf feature at Saratoga for 3-year-olds and older that is now part of the Travers Stakes day undercard at Saratoga Race Course.

A year ago, a victory in Del Mar’s Pat O’Brien Stakes was worth a free trip east for the Breeders’ Cup. A free spot and travel expenses to the Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile will be on the line again in Saturday’s edition, but the trip will be quicker and easier this time for the winner.

A pair of champions will face off in Saturday’s $500,000, Grade 1 Ballerina Handicap at Saratoga Race Course, a prestigious sprint for fillies and mares taking place over seven-eighths of a mile. But the outcome won’t necessarily be what bettors expect based off a glance at the past performances.
