Japan’s U. Carrot Farm, a leading owner in Japan, brought the filly Cesario to the U.S. in 2005 and went back home a Grade 1 winner after she dominated the American Oaks Stakes at Hollywood Park.
Sixteen years later, their mare Marche Lorraine pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Breeders’ Cup history when she won the Longines Distaff at Del Mar on Nov. 6.
