Fitz Right

Fitz Right, a Kentucky-bred Charlatan filly, debuted in summer 2025 with a solid runner-up finish in a one-mile turf allowance race at Monmouth Park. She then improved to win a turf race at the Monmouth at Meadowlands meet held at the same distance and finished her 2-year-old season with a sixth-place finish in a listed stakes on turf at Aqueduct.

The chestnut filly developed over the winter for trainer Chad Brown and impressed in her 3-year-old debut Jan. 18, 2026, at Tampa Bay Downs with a sharp 5 ½-length win in a one-mile turf allowance. She then stepped up to stakes company in the one-mile Memories of Silver Stakes in April at Aqueduct, and once again won by open lengths, scoring by 3 ½ lengths with Flavien Prat in the saddle for the first time.

Prat retained the mount for Fitz Right’s graded stakes debut, the 1 1/16-mile, Grade 2 Wonder Again Stakes June 5 at Saratoga held during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival. He gave the filly a perfect stalking trip in third behind pacesetter Coach Mazzula and favorite Lion Lake, and moved past the latter foe in midstretch to win by a length, improving to 3-for-3 on the season.

Fitz Right is out of the Grade 3-winning Henny Hughes mare I’m a Looker and is from the family of $1.9 million earner and Grade 1 winner Dortmund.
