Hiding in Honduras romped in his career debut sprinting at Presque Isle Downs on Oct. 2, 2025, scoring by 7 ¾-lengths on an all-weather track. He was then sent west to California for a start in the one-mile Let It Ride Stakes during Del Mar’s Bing Crosby meet, and finished a respectable fourth considering he raced keenly early on and was bumped in the first turn of the one-mile turf event.

Trainer Jonathan Thomas then started the 3-year-old Dialed In gelding in the one-mile, Grade 2 Mathis Mile Stakes Dec. 28 at Santa Anita Park, and Hiding in Honduras enjoyed a perfect, ground-saving trip undre Antonio Fresu after breaking from the inside post position. He angled out in early stretch and wore down game pacesetter Tempus Volat for a breakthrough graded stakes victory.
Kentucky-bred Hiding in Honduras is out of the stakes-winning Freud mare La Moneda and is a half-brother to stakes winner Cameo Performance.
