Breeders’ Cup World Championships week has arrived, and media coverage of horse racing will reach a crescendo surpassed only by Kentucky Derby week and occasionally the lead-in weeks to the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes. The 42^nd annual Breeders’ Cup, set for Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, will draw a good amount of national and international attention and in terms of quality racing, the two-day event is unmatched. This year’s Breeders’ Cup will be held for the second consecutive year at oceanside Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Southern California, and the weather forecast for Breeders’ Cup five days out calls for sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s.

NBC Sports will, as usual, provide in-depth coverage of the Breeders’ Cup, and FanDuel TV will do the same. NBC’s Peacock streaming service and FanDuel TV will present live broadcasts of every one of 14 Breeders’ Cup races scheduled for Friday and Saturday. FanDuel TV’s coverage is branded the “Breeders’ Cup Player’s Show” and starts at 12:30 p.m. ET Friday and 11 a.m. ET Saturday.

For NBC Sports’ Breeders’ Cup schedule, four of the five Future Stars Friday races Oct. 31 will be shown on USA Network during a broadcast from 4-8 p.m. ET. On Championship Saturday, three of nine Breeders’ Cup races will air on USA Network during programs from 2-3:30 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. ET. Five more will be broadcast nationwide on NBC during a program from 3:30 p.m. to  7 p.m., including the $7 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic. The final race of the nine Championship Saturday events, the Maker’s Mark Filly & Mare Turf, will air on FanDuel TV and stream on Peacock.

In addition to showing each Breeders’ Cup race live – including the Longines Classic – FanDuel TV will broadcast the Rood & Riddle post-position draw for the World Championships Monday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. ET (the draw can also be streamed on the Breeders’ Cup website). The network continues its daily popular “Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup” series covering workouts and news through Thursday, Oct. 30, starting every day at 10 a.m. ET. During Breeders’ Cup week, FanDuel TV will also show each race from Del Mar starting on its opening card Thursday, Oct. 30, as well as action from tracks such as Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park, and Woodbine as per their normal schedule.

Live racing from Belmont at the Big A in New York is showcased on “America’s Day at the Races” during a four-day run from Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 2. “America’s Day at the Races” airs on FOX Sports – check the schedule below for channels and times. Additionally, two special broadcasts will be presented: harness racing from the Meadowlands on Saturday, airing on FS2, and coverage of Australia’s signature race, the Melbourne Cup, airing on Monday evening, Nov. 3, also on FS2.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet, and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire, and Roku.
