Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore will celebrate the 150^th anniversary of the Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of the Triple Crown, on May 17. The race has been won by some of the sport’s brightest stars over the year, including 13 Triple Crown winners. The $2 million, 1 3/16-mile race is shaping up to feature a competitive group of contenders with Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve runner-up Journalism, Virginia Derby winner American Promise, and Stonestreet Lexington Stakes winner Gosger among the possible runners.
