Ole Crazy Bone

Ole Crazy Bone began his career as a 3-year-old and scored his maiden win in his second lifetime outing at Lone Star Park on May 7, 2023, in his only win in six outings that calendar year. 

Early in 2024, Ole Crazy Bone began his 4-year-old season with a three-race winning streak from January to May with two allowance wins at Sam Houston and an allowance victory at Lone Star. He also had a fast start to his 5-year-old year in 2025 when he scored allowance optional claiming wins at Sam Houston in both January and March. He finished second in the Kentucky Downs Preview Turf Cup Stakes on Aug. 3 at Ellis Park.

The big career breakthrough win of Ole Crazy Bone's career came on Aug. 6 at Kentucky Downs when he took the Grade 2 $2.5 million KTDF Kentucky Turf Cup Invitational Stakes going 1 1/2 miles on the grass, topping a 13-horse field decisively by 3 3/4 lengths under jockey Flavien Prat for trainer Mike Maker. The Kentucky Turf Cup was the final start of 2025 for Ole Crazy Bone.

Ole Crazy Bone returned for his 6-year-old season in 2026, and again became a graded stakes winner with a victory in the Grade 2 $250,000 Bowling Green Stakes going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Saratoga on July 11 when he made the lead, controlled the pace, and had just enough left in the stretch to prevail by a nose atop a six-horse field.
