Destino d'Oro

Destino d’Oro, a 2-year-old Bolt d’Oro filly owned by Steve Landers Racing and trained by Brad Cox, won her debut impressively at Kentucky Downs on Aug. 31, 2024, taking a one-mile maiden by 2 ¼ lengths. She then competed for an automatic berth in the John Deere Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf Oct. 4 at Keeneland and was sent off as the post-time favorite in the Grade 2 Jessamine Stakes Presented by Keeneland Sales with top turf rider Flavien Prat keeping the mount. Destino d’Oro settled near the rear of the 11-horse field through the backstretch before sweeping wide for a stretch rally, and she nearly completed the task, settling for third in a three-horse photo finish behind May Day Ready and Totally Justified.

Destino d'Oro came back as a 3-year-old in 2025 and enjoyed a successful campaign. She began the season with an allowance victory at Churchill Downs with a last-to-first move going 1 1/16 miles on June 19. She then became a stakes winner in her next start in the Grade 3 Pucker Up Stakes going 1 1/8 miles at Ellis Park on Aug. 3. She later concluded the 2025 season with a win in the $125,000 Tropical Park Oaks going 1 1/16 miles on the grass at Gulfstream Park.

Destino d'Oro kept her winning ways going in her first start as a 4-year-old with a win in the Grade 2 $500,000 Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational going 1 1/16 miles atop a 12-horse field on Jan. 24, 2026, at Gulfstream Park. She was right back at it again in her next start with yet another win on March 7 in the Grade 2 $225,000 Hillsborough Stakes going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs, topping a seven-horse field by a nose with a fast-closing stretch run.

The filly was bred in Kentucky and is out of the Grade 1-placed, winning Lion Heart filly Heart of Destiny. She is from the family of Grade 1 winner Rosalind.
