Dimatic won his maiden in his third career start in a sloppy track route race at Oaklawn Park on Feb. 3, 2024 in his first outing as a 3-year-old. The effort was good enough to send him onward and upward into the Grade 2 $1.25 million Rebel Stakes on Feb. 24 for his next start. In the Rebel, Dimatic finished fifth in a 12-horse field and earned 5 qualifying points on the road to the Kentucky Derby.
