Where to Watch/Listen: Welcoming 2024 with a Holiday Weekend of Racing

The upcoming New Year’s Day holiday weekend marks an uptick in horse racing coverage on TV and radio as several prominent tracks including Oaklawn Park showcase important races heading into 2024.

Oaklawn’s New Year’s Day card on Monday is highlighted by the Smarty Jones Stakes, the first prep race for 3-year-olds on the road to the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve. The Smarty Jones will be shown live on NYRA-produced “America’s Day at the Races” along with other races from Oaklawn and Aqueduct. “America’s Day at the Races” will air four days in a row starting on Friday, Dec. 29, either on FS2 or FS1 – check the below schedule for times.
Racing from Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita Park will be broadcast on FanDuel TV over the holiday weekend; both tracks have marquee racecards scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 30. FanDuel TV will also show live racing from Turfway Park, Fair Grounds, and many other tracks as part of its comprehensive daily package.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
