Village Voice (GB)

Village Voice, an English-bred daughter of Zarak, made her first 12 career starts in Europe for trainer Jessica Harrington, winning four times with one second and three thirds. Two of those victories were at the stakes level in France in 2023 and 2024. Her final start on that continent came in October 2024 when she finished fourth in the Group 1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot.

After nearly a year away from racing, Village Voice resurfaced in New York with trainer Chad Brown in the Grade 3, $175,000 Waya Stakes at Belmont at the Big A. With Dylan Davis riding, the 5-year-old mare settled near the back of the field in the 1 3/8-mile turf race, rallied five-wide in the homestretch, and rallied strongly to defeat Beach Bomb by a neck.

Village Voice is out of the winning Street Sense mare Sensible Way. His second dam is multiple group stakes winner Nasheej.
