Touchuponastar

Touchuponastar is a Louisiana-bred win machine, who racked-up who racked-up 13 wins through the first several years of his career through 2024 mainly on the Louisiana and Texas circuits with numerous stakes wins at tracks like Delta Downs, Evangeline Downs, and his favorite track Fair Grounds where he won races such as the $150,000 Louisiana Classic in back-to-back years in 2023-24.

Touchuponastar made his mark on a national level as a 6-year-old coming off a 12 1/4-length stakes win at Delta Downs on Feb. 1, 2025, he took-on the defending 3-year-old champion from the year before, Sierra Leone, and was successful for his first career Graded stakes win in the Grade 2 $500,000 New Orleans Classic going 1 1/8 miles at Fair Grounds on March 22. Touchuponastar grabbed the lead early in the New Orleans Classic atop a five-horse field and was never headed enroute to a 2 1/2-length victory while 4 1/2 lengths ahead of Sierra Leone back in third.

Following his win in the 2025 New Orleans Classic, Touchuponastar went on to accumulate an impressive record the rest of the year with three Louisiana-bred stakes victories including a win in the $150,000 Louisiana Classic Stakes. He also beat open company again in the $100,000 Delta Mile on Nov.8 at Delta Downs.

Touchuponastar was back as a 7-year-old in 2026 and apparently doing as good or better than ever. He began his season with an 11 1/2-length stakes win at Delta Downs on Dec. 7, 2026, and then went to Fair Grounds where he won his second straight Grade 2 $500,000 New Orleans Classic Stakes on March 21. His win in the New Orleans Classic in wie-to-wire fashion was accomplished in track record time for 1 1/8 miles in 1:46.84 and brought Touchuponastar's career earnings up over $2 million.
