The upcoming weekend in horse racing is highlighted by two “Win and You’re In” Challenge Series races for the 39th World Championships in November. One of them will join another prestigious race at a new venue, as Churchill Downs will run both the Beverly D. Stakes (a Challenge Series prep for the Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf) and the Arlington Million Stakes Saturday, Aug. 13.

Churchill announced earlier this year that it would hold a special August card featuring four graded stakes formerly held at Arlington International Racecourse outside of Chicago. That track held the last meet of its storied history in summer 2021 before being sold by parent company Churchill Downs Inc. to the Chicago Bears for redevelopment. Two other graded stakes originally scheduled for the Aug. 13 card have been postponed for 2022 as the Churchill Downs maintenance crew continues to develop a new turf course that has been problematic since debuting in the spring.

The Beverly D. and the Arlington Million along with the rest of the Churchill Downs card will be televised on a jam-packed Saturday broadcast of the NYRA-produced “Saratoga Live” show along with the other “Win and You’re In” qualifier of the weekend, the Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga. The Fourstardave offers its winner an automatic berth to the FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Mile.

Saratoga Live” will run from Wednesday to Sunday this week on FS2 and FS1 – check the below schedule for air times.

Racing from Del Mar, Gulfstream Park, Ellis Park, Laurel Park, Monmouth ParkWoodbine and other tracks will also be shown on TVG.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.

For livestreaming coverage, “Saratoga Saturdays” returns Saturday at 9 a.m. ET. Presented by NYRA Bets, the show is hosted by Jonathon Kinchen and Anita Marks and will preview the Aug. 13 card at the Spa. “Saratoga Saturdays” runs each Saturday through Sept. 3 and is available on ABR’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels as well as Jonathon’s Twitter account and Anita’s Twitter account.

Here’s a rundown of TV, livestreaming, and radio coverage for the week.
