Thoroughbred racing is nearing its peak fall season, as Belmont Park re-opened with a new facility last weekend, Santa Anita Park starts its fall meet on Friday, Sept. 25, and Keeneland Race Course begins its Fall Stars meet one week later.
This weekend, Santa Anita take center stage, hosting a total of four “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup preps on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27. Meanwhile, Churchill Downs winds down its brief September meet in Kentucky on Sunday, and that evening, Remington Park hosts the Oklahoma Derby for 3-year-olds. UPDATE: Belmont Park also had a big weekend scheduled with two Breeders’ Cup races scheduled for Saturday, but the New York Racing Association announced Friday that both the Saturday and Sunday cards would be canceled due to inclement weather in the Northeast, and the races rescheduled for next week.
Live racing from Santa Anita, Churchill, and Remington along with other tracks such as Woodbine and Laurel Park will air on FanDuel TV. Racing from Belmont Park is showcased on NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” during a four-day stretch from Thursday, Sept. 24, through Sunday (this schedule might be adjusted on Saturday and Sunday due to the cancellation of Belmont races). “America’s Day at the Races” will also broadcast select harness races this week, and the shows will air on FOX Sports.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku
