Mr. Wireless won his second career start, a one-mile maiden race at Oaklawn Park, by a nose at odds of 19.70-1 on March 27, 2021 for owner JIL Stable and trainer Bret Calhoun. The Dialed In gelding came right back to win again by a nose at Oaklawn in May and then, with Jon Lapczenski joining as co-owner, ran a very good second behind Warrant in the Texas Derby at Lone Star Park on May 31.

On July 7, Mr. Wireless broke through with his first stakes win in impressive fashion, taking the Grade 3 Indiana Derby at Indiana Grand by a widening 3 ¾ lengths under Ramon Vazquez. He followed that up with a 1 1/4-length win in the Grade 3 West Virginia Derby at Mountaineer on Aug. 7.
