Repole Stable and St. Elias Stable

The partnership of Mike Repole and St. Elias Stable were the winners of the 2022 Breeders' Cup Juvenile with Forte, who became a three-time Grade 1 winner as a 2-year-old along with wins in the Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland and the Hopeful at Saratoga. Forte received the Eclipse Award as champion 2-year-old male in 2022 and became the favorite for the 2023 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve by winning two major prep races at Gulfstream Park.

In the past, Repole Stable and St. Elias Stable also raced 2019 Longines Breeders' Cup Classic winner Vino Rosso. Repole is also well known in Thoroughbred racing as the owner of brilliant champion Uncle Mo and 2011 Travers Stakes winner Stay Thirsty.

Repole made his fortune when he sold his company Glaceau, maker of Vitaminwater and Smartwater, to Coca-Cola for $4.1 billion in May 2007. He subsequently co-founded and serves as chairman of BODYARMOR Sports Drink, the fastest-growing sports drink in its category.

St. Elias Stable is the racing operation of Vincent Viola, the founder and chairman of Virtu Financial and the former chairman of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The Army veteran also owns the National Hockey League’s Florida Panthers and, like Repole, is a native New Yorker. Viola is the co-owner of 2017 Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming.
