2026 T.I.P. Championships and Thoroughbred Premier Series Preview Show Open for Entries

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) today announced that entries for all divisions of the 2026 T.I.P. Championships and the Thoroughbred Premier Series Preview Show are now open. Additionally, there is an online declaration form that can be used to declare horses for both shows. Please note that this form must be used for horses that are automatically qualified, for horses that require a Hardship Request to qualify, and to provide information on horses attending the preview show. More information about qualifying can be found below. 

2026 T.I.P. Championships Open for Entries

T.I.P. Championships in hunter (crossrails to 3’0”), jumper (2’6” to 3’6”), English pleasure, combined test (starter to preliminary), dressage (introductory to FEI TOC), Western dressage (TOC), Western pleasure, ranch riding, competitive trail, and in-hand will occur at Stable View in Aiken, S.C. The show will commence Thursday, Oct. 1, and will continue through Sunday, Oct. 4. Schooling and a sunset trail ride will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The preview show will offer a $5,000 Hunter Classic and a $5,000 Jumper Class for qualified horses, as well as Novice Rider and Green Horse classes for Thoroughbreds. Important deadlines are as follows: 

  • Declaration closing date: Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026
  • Hardship Request closing date: Monday, Aug. 31, 2026
  • On-time entries close: Monday, Sept. 14, 2026
  • Late entries accepted (with late fee paid) until: Monday, Sept. 21, 2026

Qualifying for Championships

To automatically qualify for the T.I.P. Championships, a T.I.P. eligible Thoroughbred must (1) participate in a show offering T.I.P. high point awards, classes, or divisions beginning Aug. 1, 2025, through Sept. 15, 2026 (this includes the 2025 T.I.P. Championships and for competitive trail qualification, any Equine Trail Sports competition); or (2) participate in a Take2 division beginning Aug. 1, 2025, through Sept. 15, 2026; or (3) be entered in the 2026 Thoroughbred Makeover or have participated in the 2025 Makeover in the applicable discipline; or (4) have participated in the 2025 T.I.P. Performance Awards in the applicable discipline. After qualifying is completed, the qualification must be DECLARED on a Declaration Form.

Horses being shown during the championship year but not able to qualify automatically can request qualification for championships via a Hardship Request. For more information see tjctip.com/About/CSI.
