The field has been drawn for the 149th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico, and once trainer Ken McPeek said that Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve winner Mystik Dan would start in the second jewel of North American horse racing’s Triple Crown, national media interest heightened as it usually does when the Derby winner aims for the sport’s biggest prize.

Mystik Dan is scheduled to face eight opponents in the Preakness on Saturday, May 18, and after a sensational 48-hour blitz of Kentucky Derby and Longines Kentucky Oaks coverage two weeks ago at Churchill Downs, NBC Sports’ horse racing broadcast team is ramping up for a busy weekend in Baltimore.

Coverage of the Preakness undercard runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET on CNBC, and then the broadcast goes nationwide on NBC from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. ET. Post time for Preakness 149 is set for 7:01 p.m. ET, and the entire six-hour show will also be streamed live on Peacock. On Friday, May 17, a 90-minute show from Pimlico will be streamed live on Peacock starting at 4:30 p.m. ET, highlighted by the George E. Mitchell Black-Eyed Susan Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.

Telemundo will present coverage of the Preakness Stakes beginning Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET on Universo and streaming on Telemundo.com and the Telemundo app.

NBC Sports’ coverage of the Preakness Stakes features host Mike Tirico; analysts Jerry Bailey, the Hall of Fame jockey and two-time Preakness winner, and Randy Moss; handicapper Matt Bernier; host/reporter Ahmed Fareed; reporters Britney Eurton, Donna Brothers, Kenny Rice, and Nick Luck; infield reporter Jac Collinsworth; racecaller Larry Collmus; and insights analyst Steve Kornacki.

Action from Pimlico during the week leading up to the Preakness, as well as some undercard races on Preakness day, will air on FanDuel TV. The network will also show live racing from tracks including Churchill Downs, Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park, and Horseshoe Indianapolis as part of their daily package.

Racing from the Belmont at the Big A meet in New York and from Monmouth Park in New Jersey will be showcased on NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” from Thursday, May 16 to Sunday, May 19. “America’s Day at the Races” airs on FS2 during the four-day span and will also present a special show from The Meadowlands on Saturday evening, May 18, covering harness racing’s Arthur J. Cutler Memorial Stakes. Check the schedule below for air times.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
