The prep season for the 2021 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve is in full gear heading into March, and this upcoming Saturday, March 6, features three races offering qualifying points for Derby 147 at Aqueduct, Tampa Bay Downs and Santa Anita Park.

All three preps – the Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct, the Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby at Tampa Bay Downs, and the San Felipe Stakes at Santa Anita Park – offer Derby points to the top four finishers on a 50-20-10-5 basis. One of racing’s most prestigious races for older horses, the Santa Anita Handicap, is also scheduled for March 6 at the Big Race Place.
