Where to Watch/Listen During Rebel Stakes Week

This Saturday, March 16, Oaklawn Park will take the spotlight on the Road to the Kentucky Derby with the $1 million, Grade 2 Rebel Stakes. The Rebel is annually a key race in the Kentucky Derby prep series as the final Oaklawn prep for the $1 million, Grade 1 Arkansas Derby, but this year it could be even more important as Oaklawn officials announced last week that they may split the Rebel into two divisions after Santa Anita Park cancelled the March 9 San Felipe Stakes. Oaklawn will make a decision on running two divisions of the Rebel on Wednesday, March 13.

The Rebel Stakes will anchor a 2 ½-hour broadcast of "Fox Sports Saturday At The Races" presented by America's Best Racing, Runhappy and Claiborne Farm. Hosted by Greg Wolf, the live show on FS2 will include commentary, handicapping and racing analysis from a combination of FOX Sports, NYRA and The Stronach Group personalities, including recently added analyst and Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens. The March 16 broadcast runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Eastern and will also feature the Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn and other races from around the country.

The Rebel Stakes will also be broadcast on TVG as part of their comprehensive racing coverage.
