Wynstock

Wynstock made his career debut for trainer Bob Baffert in a 2-year-old maiden race at Del Mar on Aug. 25, 2023, and scored the maiden win two races later in his third career race on Oct. 15 at Santa Anita. That win was the start of something good because Wynstock would become a graded stakes winner one start later when he was victorious in the Grade 2 $200,000 Los Alamitos Futurity at 1 1/16 miles on December 16.  At post time odds of 13.70-1 as the longest price of three Bob Baffert trainees in the five-horse field, Wynstock led much of the way, fought off a stretch challenge when briefly headed by eventual runner-up Stronghold, and came back late to prevail in the Los Alamitos Futurity by a half a length. The Futurity was a points race on the Road to the Kentucky Derby, but Baffert trainees are ineligible to earn Kentucky Derby qualifying points.

Wynstock was bred in New York by the sire Solomini out of the mare Timberlea by Flatter.
