Triple Espresso made his career debut as a 2-year-old with a second-place finish in a stakes race at Colonial Downs on Sept. 9, 2023, and had already finished fifth in the Grade 2 Pilgrim Stakes on the grass at Aqueduct by the time he broke his maiden in his fourth career start at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 20, 2024 in his first start as a 3-year-old.

Triple Espresso started in the Grade 3 $700,000 Jeff Ruby Steaks at Turfway Park going 1 1/8 miles on an all-weather surface on March 23. Triple Espresso closed for fourth in the 10-horse field, and just missed finishing second by two heads in a five-horse blanket place photo. The Jeff Ruby was a maximum points race on the road to the Kentucky Derby, and if Triple Espresso is pointed to that race on the dirt, he earned 15 qualifying Derby points in the Jeff Ruby.
Triple Espresso is trained by Todd Pletcher. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Omaha Beach out of the mare Natural Rush by Indian Charlie.
