Risk It won his career debut Aug. 19, 2023, at Saratoga race Course, controlling the pace in a three-quarter-mile maiden special weight race and drawing away by 4 ½ lengths. He followed with a runner-up finish Sept. 16 in the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes before finishing fourth Nov. 25 in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, both at Churchill Downs. He ended his 2-year-old season with a fifth-place finish in the $100,000 Gun Runner Stakes at Fair Grounds on Dec. 23.
