R Disaster

R Disaster became a graded stakes winner for the first time as a 4-year-old when she won the Grade 2 $250,000 Gallant Bloom Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs on a main track at Belmont at the Big A on Sept. 27, 2025. The win marked her seventh career win in 12 lifetime starts in which she had never once finished out of the exacta. She had finished second in several Graded stakes spots before her breakthrough in the Gallant Bloom with place finishes in the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Stakes at Saratoga, the Grade 3 Vagrancy Stakes at Belmont at the Big A, and the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes at Gulfstream Park earlier in 2025. Also in 2025 she was the winner of the $96,000 Rehoboth Stakes at Delaware Park.

R Disaster returned as a 5-year-old in 2026 and began her campaign with a victory in the Grade 3 $175,000 Hurricane Bertie Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs at Gulfstream Park on March 7, topping a field of eight fillies and mares by 5 1/2 lengths as the 0.90-1 odds-on favorite.

R Disaster is trained by Saffie Joseph Jr. She was bred in Florida by the sire Awesome Slew out of the mare Making Havoc by Gotcha Gold.
