Mo Plex

Mo Plex began his career with a 10-length win at first asking in a New York bred 2-year-old maiden race going 5 1/2 furlongs at Belmont at the Big A on June 20, 2024. That victory propelled him up against open company in his next race, which was another convincing win in the Grade 3 $175,000 Sanford Stakes going six furlongs at Saratoga on July 13. Mo Plex flashed sharp speed from the gate to lead a seven-horse field in the Sanford and was never seriously challenged on his way to a one-length win. He added another 2-year-old win in the $200,000 Funny Cide Stakes going six furlongs versus New York bred company on August 25 at Saratoga.

Mo Plex enjoyed more success as a 3-year-old in 2025. He was victorious in the $145,000 Bay Shore Stakes going seven furlongs at Aqueduct on April 19 for his first win of the year. Mo Plex then successfully stretched out to 1 1/8 miles for a win in the Grade 3 $500,000 Ohio Derby at Thistledown on June 21. In the Ohio Derby, Mo Plex was sent off as the 5.40-1 fourth betting choice in an eight-horse field. He pressed the early pacesetter, challenged coming into the stretch, took over and extended to a clear two-length score.

 Mo Plex is trained by Jeremiah Englehart. He was bred in New York by the sire Complexity out of the mare Mo Joy by Uncle Mo.
