Mesero turned in an eye-catching debut July 29, 2024, at Ellis Park, where he closed from ninth on a muddy track to win a three-quarter-mile sprint by 1 ¾ length under jockey Corey Lanerie.
Trainer Dale Romans tested the Not This Time colt next against stakes competition and he finished fourth in the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes Sept. 14 at Churchill Downs and then fifth in the Grade 1 Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity Oct. 5 at Keeneland.
