Mansetti

Mansetti won his maiden race in his six-furlong career debut as a 2-year-old on the all-weather track at Woodbine on Sept. 26, 2024. He added another juvenile win going six furlongs again on the Woodbine synthetic surface in the restricted $150,000 Clarendon Stakes on Nov. 24.

Mansetti made his first start as a 3-year-old in the Jerome Stakes going one-mile at Aqueduct on Jan. 4, 2025. In his first-ever race on a dirt surface, Mansetti finished a distant fifth.

Back at the friendly confines of Woodbine, Mansetti again excelled in 2025 as a 3-year-old. He won the Woodstock Stakes at Woodbine on April 27 to get back on track. Mansetti then won again on June 28 when victorious in the Grade 3 $150,000 HPIbet Marine Stakes going 1 1/16 miles on the all-weather surface over a field of seven 3-year-olds.

The next outing for Mansetti became the biggest race of his career when he took to the track at Woodbine as part of a 13-horse field in the $1 million King's Plate Stakes going 1 1/4-miles on the all-weather main track in the first leg of Canada's Triple Crown. In the King's Plate. Mansetti sent to the front from the start and shrugged off an early challenger to take control throughout the second half of the race. Outrunning 18.35-1 odds with aplomb, assumed command in the stretch and never let another horse come near him to cross the wire in front by a 2 1/2-length margin in a time of 2:03.68.

Mansetti targeted the second jewel of Canada’s Triple Crown, the Prince of Wales Stakes on dirt at Fort Erie, and went off as the post-time favorite in the Sept. 9 race. He set a pressured pace through the first half-mile, shook off challenger Scorching in the far turn, and appeared primed for victory in midstretch only to tire in the final strides and yield to Runaway Again.
