Luster

Luster won her career debut outing as a 2-year-old with a maiden win at Woodbine on Aug. 17, 2025, in her only outing of her juvenile season.

Luster got started on what would be become a very big 3-year-old season in 2026 with a Keeneland allowance win in in her first start of the year on April 9. She then earned her first career stakes victory with a 1 3/4-length win atop a seven-horse field in the Grade 3 $150,000 Selene Stakes going 1 1/16 miles on the all-weather main track at Woodbine on June 27, 2026.

Luster returned to her native Canada for a big win in her next start in the $500,000 Woodbine Oaks presented by Stella Artois going 1 1/8 miles on Woodbine's all-weather main track. She dominated the race to win by 5 1/2 lengths atop a seven-horse field and the victory sent her onward to face males in the King's Plate in her subsequent start.

Luster was sent off as the prohibitive 0.25-1 favorite in a 12-horse field in the $1 million King's Plate Stakes in the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown going 1 1/4 miles on the all-weather surface at Woodbine on Aug. 15, 2026. Luster did not disappoint in the King's Plate. She stalked the pace much of the way and took over at will and extended the advantage through the stretch to draw off to win by 7 1/4 commanding lengths under jockey John Velazquez.

Luster is trained by Josie Carroll. She was bred in Ontario Canada by the sire Knicks Go out of the dam Ruby Frost by The Factor.
