Law Professor

Law Professor won his first career race at the age of 3 on Mar. 5, 2021, in a one-mile maiden special weight race on the dirt at Santa Anita Park. He drew off after a wide trip for a 2 1/2-length victory, at 20.60-1.

A few months later, Law Professor ended his 3-year-old campaign by winning his first stakes race in an off-the-turf edition of the Grade 2 Santa Anita Mathis Mile Stakes on Dec. 26 by a half-length, after wearing down early leader Beyond Brilliant.

Law Professor began his 4-year-old season with a second-place finish in the Grade 2 San Pasqual Stakes at Santa Anita on Feb. 5.  Later in the season he won the $400,000 Tapit Stakes at Kentucky Downs going 1 mile & 70 yards on the turf. His biggest career effort to date came in defeat in the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 1 when he gave heavy favorite Life Is Good all h could handle until finally settling for second by 1 1/4 lengths.

Law Professor subsequently ran in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile at Keeneland on Nov. 5 and finished fifth.

Law Professor was bred by his owners, Twin Creeks Farm. His dam (mother), Haunted Heroine, was a two-time stakes winner at Ellis Park and Louisiana Downs.
