Integration won his maiden race at first asking in a 3-year-old turf race at Colonial Downs on Aug. 12, 2023. He wasted no time rising in class versus stakes competition for the first time in his next start, which came in the Grade 3 $500,000 New Kent County Virginia Derby at Colonial Downs on Sept. 9. Sent off as the 6-1 odds second choice on the tote board in a nine-horse field in the Virginia Derby, Integration rated near the back of the pack and unleashed a furious stretch rally down the center of the course to get up in time to catch favored Program Trading by 1 1/4 lengths in a 1 1/8-mile winning time of 1:46.41 over firm turf.

Integration made it three wins in a row to begin his career when he won his next outing in the Grade 2 $250,000 Hill Prince Stakes going 1 1/8 miles for 3-year-olds on Nov. 18 at Aqueduct. Sent off as the 4-5 favorite on the tote board in a nine-horse field, Integration found a perfect pace-stalking spot under regular rider Kendrick Carmouche and then blasted past the leaders at the top of the stretch and extended to a five-length win

Integration is trained by Shug McGaughey. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Quality Road out of the mare Harmonize by Scat Daddy.
