Gstaad opened his career with back-to-back victories in Europe for legendary Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien, including a three-length win in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. He continued to perform admirably at the top level in Europe with three straight runner-up finishes in Group 1 races in France in August, Ireland in September, and England in October.
