Glacius was sent to North America for the first time as a 3-year-old to compete in the Grade 1 $750,000 Saratoga Derby Stakes going 1 3/16 miles on the turf at Saratoga on Aug. 8, 2026. Facing an eight-horse field featuring many of the better 3-year-old turf horses in the U.S., Glacius was sent off as a 9.62-1 underdog but easily proved best that day with a wire-to-wire 1 1/4-length win after controlling the pace throughout the race.
