Dresden Row, a Kentucky-bred Lord Nelson colt, ran well in his first two career starts during fall 2023 without winning, finishing second and third at Woodbine, but then won his final two races at age 2 over Woodbine’s all-weather track.
He did not return to racing until July 12, 2024, and showed no rust in taking a seven-furlong allowance optional claiming race at Woodbine. He then made his second career start on turf at Woodbine (following his career debut) in the Toronto Cup Stakes Presented by Crown Royal, and ran a respectable third in on yielding turf.

Dresden Row returned to Woodbine’s all-weather track for his graded stakes bow in the Grade 3 Durham Cup Stakes Sept. 28, and posted a game head victory over Ron’s Gizmo at odds of 10.25-1 to improve his career record to four wins, one second, and two thirds through seven starts.
Dresden Row added yet another win in his next start in the Grade 3 $135,000 Ontario Derby going 1 1/8 miles on the all-weather main track at Woodbine on Oct. 19. He sat a stalking pace and topped a seven-horse field by a half a length as the 6-5 favorite.
