The effort was good enough to send him onward and upward into the Grade 2 $1.25 million Rebel Stakes on Feb. 24 for his next start. In the Rebel, Dimatic finished fifth in a 12-horse field and earned 5 qualifying points on the road to the Kentucky Derby.
