Crupi won his maiden race as a 3-year-old on July 7, 2023, going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Monmouth Park. He then rattled off back-to-back stakes wins at Aqueduct later in 2023 in the $145,000 Discovery Stakes and in the $150,000 Queens County Stakes, both at the distance of 1 1/8 miles.

Crupi traveled to Dubai for the 2024 running of the Dubai World Cup and finished tenth. He was then successful in his return stateside in his next start, which came in the Grade 2 $350,000 Suburban Stakes going 1 1/4 miles at Saratoga on June 8. Crupi trailed a compact seven horse field in the stretch in the Suburban, and then passed horses in the stretch to score a grinding victory.
Crupi is trained by Todd Pletcher. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Curlin out of the mare Don'tforgetaboutme by Malibu Moon.
