Albus began his career as a 2-year-old in 2025 and won his maiden race in his third lifetime start and first start as a 3-year-old on Feb. 27, 2026, going 1 mile and 40 yards at Tampa Bay Downs.

Coming off a big maiden win. Albus made his fourth career start in the Grade 2 $750,000 Wood Memorial Stakes presented by Resorts World Casino going 1 1/8 miles at Aqueduct on April 4. Sent off at 11.89-1 odds in a 12-horse field in the Wood Memorial, Albus raced in the back half of the field much of the race until launching a move on the turn and taking the lead in the stretch enroute to a 1 1/4-length victory. The Wood Memorial was a major points race on the Road to the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve and Albus qualified for the Derby with 100 points.
Albus is trained by Riley Mott. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Yaupon out of the dam Adream by Bernardini.
