Churchill Downs players will be treated to massive pools and a variety of wagering opportunities on Kentucky Derby week beginning April 26 – opening night of the 43-day spring meet. Betting options will be plentiful, especially on Kentucky Derby Day which will feature 14 races including seven stakes. The betting menu will include six Pick 5s, five Pick 4s, and a mandatory payout in the 20-cent Derby City 6 jackpot.

Last year, the Pick 5 ending in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve handled $4.4 million and paid $188,958 while the corresponding Pick 4 handled $3.2 million and returned $18,300. The Derby City 6 handled $2.3 million with a payout of $345,074.

Kentucky Oaks Day will feature five Pick 5s and four Pick 4s. Also featured on Kentucky Oaks Day will be the start of several two-day wagers including the 50-cent Longines Kentucky Oaks/Old Forester Bourbon Turf Classic Stakes/Kentucky Derby Pick 3 (2024 handle $686,061), and the $1 two-day Pick 6 (2024 handle $508,919) that will feature six Grade 1 events over the two days of racing. The two-day Pick 6 will have a mandatory payout and low 15% takeout.

Additionally, fans can look forward to unique betting options such as the Oaks/Derby Double (2024 handle $3 million), the 50-cent All Dirt Pick 5 on Kentucky Derby Day (2024 handle $409,571) and the $3 All 3-Year-Old Pick 3 on Kentucky Derby Day (2024 handle $359,603).

Superfecta wagers will be a $1 minimum on Kentucky Derby and Oaks days but will be a 10-cent minimum on all other days.
