Alexa is the communications coordinator for The Jockey Club. A native of Long Island, New York, she first fell in love with racing when she was 10 years old and listened in the car as fellow New York-bred Funny Cide won the Kentucky Derby. After he romped in the Preakness, she convinced her parents to buy tickets for the Belmont Stakes, and the rest is history. Alexa graduated from Cornell University in 2015 and earned a master’s degree from the University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program in 2017.

Prior to her current role, Alexa gained experience in the racing industry through internships or working positions with Darley, Claiborne Farm, the New York Racing Association, The Jockey Club, and Rillito Park.
