Ana and Hans Maron, co-owners of Santa Anita Derby winner So Happy through their Saints or Sinners racing operation, talked about slowing down and taking the time to enjoy the experience leading up to the 2026 Kentucky Derby May 2 at Churchill Downs.
So Happy will be the couple’s first starter in the run for the roses and they understand just how many different people and how much work goes into developing a 3-year-old capable of competing in the $5 million race. The Marons got emotional talking about their path to the first jewel of the Kentucky Derby and allowed themselves to dream a little bit ahead of the big race.
