Passion and Hard Work Lead to Success for Young Trainer Jordan Blair

10.08.2024

“Being a young trainer in such a competitive circuit is certainly not easy,” says Jordan Blair, who is based in central Kentucky. Blair grew up around the sport as the son of an executive at Breeders’ Cup and began working in Thoroughbred racing after getting a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness. He served as an assistant to 2024 Kentucky Derby-winning trainer Kenny McPeek, among others, before going out on his own in 2013. Follow along as Jordan explains the daily responsibilities of training racehorses and his success at building his stable as a young trainer, and watch as he prepares 3-year-old colt Nyquist Frequency for his comeback race at Keeneland following a layoff of nearly a year.
