From 1984 to 2021: Magical Run Continues for Horse Racing’s ‘Super Bowl’

The 2021 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will mark the 38^th edition of the “Super Bowl” of horse racing with 14 championship races that attract the best Thoroughbreds in the world to compete for $31 million in purse money. There has been no shortage of unforgettable moments over the years, and this year’s event promises to carry on that tradition. The 2021 Breeders’ Cup will be held Nov. 5-6 at Del Mar and televised on NBCSN and NBC.
