Vickie Foley has amassed more than 500 victories since taking out her trainer’s license in 1981. She earned her first stakes win with Hotsy Totsy in the 1983 Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky Stakes at Ellis Park. Her first multiple stakes winner was Dusty’s Darby in 1984-’85.

In 2002, Foley earned her first graded stakes win when Sky Terrace won the Derby Trial Stakes. Foley trained 2005 Darley Alcibiades Stakes winner She Says It Best, and in 2019 she earned her first Grade 1 win when Hog Creek Hustle rallied powerfully to prevail in the Woody Stephens Stakes on the Belmont Stakes undercard.
Foley’s brother Greg is also a successful trainer based in Kentucky.
