The 39th running of the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic will be held Nov. 5 at Keeneland Race Course, and the $6 million race serves as the anchor of a powerful two-day, 14-race slate of World Championships races. This year’s Classic drew a strong group of older racehorses, led by unbeaten Flightline and multiple Grade 1 winner Life Is Good, and talented 3-year-olds Epicenter, Taiba, and Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve winner Rich Strike.

America’s Best Racing has put together a comprehensive slideshow of the horses expected to compete in this year’s Classic to give racing fans a feel for each of the contenders. For most of the horses on target for the race, we were able to find at least one nice close-up image, workout photo, and racing photo to bring readers closer to the Classic runners. This slideshow will be updated once pre-entries for the race become available.
