STAMFORD, Conn. – April 26, 2023: NBC Sports and the Kentucky Derby have launched an interactive tour highlighting the activities and pageantry associated with the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve to inspire fans to host their own Kentucky Derby parties ahead of the 149th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
Thoroughbred racing takes the international spotlight May 6 at Churchill Downs, as more than 150,000 people are expected to attend the 149th Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve while millions more watch the race on a national television broadcast in the U.S. and through other outlets worldwide.
Season 2 of “Stake in Stardom,” the America’s Best Racing initiative in which brand ambassadors become minority stake owners in an elite Thoroughbred, is underway. This year’s roster includes a few familiar faces from last season in addition to several new personalities eager to experience the sport and lifestyle of horse racing up close.
Each week, members of the national media vote on the nation's top contenders on the Triple Crown trail in the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Top Thoroughbred Poll.
