Michael Talla is a co-founder of The Sports Club Co. and fell in love with horses while riding bucking broncos growing up in Arizona. He established a successful chain of sports and fitness clubs during the 1980s and expanded his business empire into real estate and other ventures.
Talla owns horses alone and in partnerships. Among his notable runners are 2021 Santa Anita Derby winner Rock Your World (owned with Hronis Racing) and 2024 Bob Hope Stakes winner Bullard (owned with St. Elias Stables, Three Chimneys Farm, and West Point Thoroughbreds).
